Candice Mahoney, Grant Support's Owner and Manager, worked as a community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Administrator for six years for the Health and Human Services and Grants Departments of a local Parish. After her tenure with local government, she spent over nine years working as a Senior Grant Manager in the program management division of a large, private consulting firm. In 2024, after fifteen years of working in the grants management industry, Candice went out on her own and opened her own consulting firm, Grant Support.
Grant Support offers expertise in management of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement, CDBG Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR), CDBG-Cares Act (CDBG-CV), Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA), HOME Partnerships Program (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with HIV/AIDS (HOPWA) funding. Grant Support has experience administering grant funds issued by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the U.S. Treasury, and various State agencies including the Louisiana Office of Community Development (OCD-LGA and OCD-DRU) and the Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC). In addition, we prepare HUD-compliant Environmental Review Records for various types of HUD-funded projects, including both infrastructure and housing.
Services available to nonprofit agencies and for-profit developers include preparation of grant project applications, environmental review records, pre-monitoring preparation, on-site monitoring visit assistance, audit assistance, and general technical assistance.
